Why does Belidor exist?

The idea for Belidor was seeded by Marc’s younger brother, who works for a U.S. construction General Contractor and was struggling with their software.

“Slow, painful, outdated. I don’t know why we don’t have something better.”

We wondered if it was only a problem with his company, or if this was a pain that all construction general contractors experienced?

After weeks speaking to stakeholders across construction, we were convinced that we could radically improve preconstruction. We understood what good product design looked like, and how to build a great product with AI capabilities at its core.

This passion for helping others, mixed with our vision for how we could change the industry for the better, landed us with $3.1M in venture capital funding in September 2025 to build out the AI operating system for preconstruction.

Our team and our product have evolved considerably since then. Our founding team combines deep AI, B2B, and construction expertise, with experience from DeepMind, BCG X, and Turner Construction. Including building production AI at large companies and scaling B2B revenue from $0 to $10M ARR.

We also have strong commercial momentum with a growing base of customers from the ENR 400 across the U.S.

These months of traveling to events, conferences, and on-site visits with preconstruction teams around the United States has crystalized our vision, embodied by three pillars for how we want to change the world.

The Pillars of Our Vision

  1. The built world should be beautiful. Aesthetic ambition shouldn’t be sacrificed due to a construction budget.
  2. Preconstruction estimators should work with the collective knowledge of everyone who came before them.
  3. Preconstruction should be risk free, low stress, 100x faster than it is today.

Our Company Principles

  1. We’re optimists. We’re excited to solve hard problems creatively.
  2. We move fast and build trust. We earn our customer relationships and have a bias for action.
  3. We’re resilient and value intensity. No obstacle is insurmountable, and our aim is to build a globally impactful company.
  4. We care. Our customers’ pains are our own, we design for the outliers and take their experience as our guide.
